Dae-Ho Lee helped the Mariners make some home-run history during their 7-5 win over Texas Friday night.
Lee homered twice, marking the fourth straight game in which the Mariners have had a player hit two home runs. That’s something that has only been done in the same season by two other teams in MLB history: the 1998 Cubs and 2000 Indians. Unlike those teams, though, the Mariners did it with four different players: Nelson Cruz on Tuesday, Chris Iannetta on Wednesday, Robinson Cano on Thursday and Lee on Friday.
Lee hit a solo shot in the second and a three-run shot in the fourth for his ninth and 10th home runs of the season. Check them out in the video above.
Kyle Seager followed Lee’s second homer with one of his own, marking the first time this season the Mariners have gone back-to-back. The three home runs Friday give the Mariners 92 for the season, the most in baseball.
