What to make of Matt Flynn’s allegedly weak arm

One line from a recent story on Brandon Weeden and the Cleveland Browns’ offseason search for an upgrade at quarterback should interest Seahawks fans.
“Of the more realistic candidates,” Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland wrote Wednesday, “free agent Matt Flynn was no bigger than [Colt] McCoy with a similarly popgun arm. He was never seriously considered.”
Flynn visited only the Seahawks and Dolphins before signing with Seattle.
“Popgun” was Grossi’s description of Flynn’s arm — not necessarily the Browns’ — but it presumably reflects his perception of the team’s stance on Flynn.
If so, should we chalk it up to sour grapes or legitimate concerns about his arm strength? Brock Huard and Mike Salk discuss that question in Thursday’s Wrap Up video.
