Terrelle Pryor’s performance in the Seahawks’ preseason loss to the Raiders Thursday was impressive, but it apparently wasn’t enough to ensure a roster spot with Seattle.
The Seahawks reportedly will release Pryor when they trim their roster to 53 players Saturday, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.
Pryor completed 11 of 17 passes for 134 yards and a touchdown against his former team in Oakland Thursday, but he finished the preseason with two interceptions to one touchdown and a 64.2 QB rating.
Because Pryor has less than four years of experience, he will hit the waiver wire, and will become a free agent is he isn’t claimed by another team.
Pryor played 11 games with the Raiders in 2013, including nine starts, and was traded to Seattle this offseason.
