Seahawks wide receiver David Moore took part in one of the most pivotal plays from Seattle’s Week 12 win over the Carolina Panthers. On Thursday, Moore joined 710 ESPN Seattle’s The Huddle to talk about what was going on behind-the-scenes during his game-tying touchdown.

“Well, that was a matchup that (quarterback Russell Wilson) was looking at all game,” Moore said. The second-year receiver was at that point being covered by Panthers cornerback Corn Elder, who was playing in relief of an injured Donte Jackson.

“And then coming down to the wire we all had some kind of conversion, we all had to go… he was the smallest corner and we had to go ball on the other side, on his side… So (Wilson) threw it, (and) I was just thinking, “Alright, well, the main thing we’ve been practicing is saving space, so I was trying to save space as much as I can. So did that, and then I just threw my arm up and it landed right in the pocket, put it there.”

To say the play was high-stakes is an understatement; Seattle was down by a seven points and facing fourth-and-3 with 3:33 remaining in the game.

“Yeah, I was getting little jitters and stuff like that before the play,” Moore admitted. “But you can’t go out nervous.”

Moore also talked about his relationship with veteran wide receiver Doug Baldwin and his love for the Rocky franchise. Listen to the full interview in the clip embedded above or on Bob, Groz and Tom’s podcast page.
