Pete Carroll joined Brock and Salk on Monday morning to discuss the Seahawks’ 33-27 loss Sunday to the Titans, provide an injury update on wide receiver Doug Baldwin, and discuss at length what drove the team to remain in the locker room during the national anthem. You can listen to the entire Pete Carroll Show embedded above or at this link. Here are a few quick notes from the interview:

• Carroll said that Baldwin, who didn’t return to the game in the fourth quarter due to a groin injury, is sore and one of “a few guys” the Seahawks are waiting to get word on the status of their injuries after the game. Baldwin had 10 receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown against the Titans.

• One positive aspect of the game in Tennessee was the performance of the offense. Quarterback Russell Wilson threw for a regular season career-high 373 yards, and the combination of Oday Aboushi at right guard and Germain Ifedi at right tackle helped the offensive line move in the right direction, according to Carroll. “We’re making terrific progress up front now. I thought Oday did a very good job, he and Germain worked together very well. We gave up a sack yesterday that we didn’t have to give up, one got away from us, but other than that they protected very well. Russell worked with the pocket very well and did a fantastic job over the course of the game.”

• Carroll on the Seahawks’ performance in the second half: “We didn’t play well going down the stretch here on defense. They started to make plays we’ve never seen before. … They kept running and we couldn’t tackle them.”

• On the Seahawks’ choice to not be on the field for the national anthem: “Not everyone agreed 1,000 percent how we should do this, but yet they agreed to do it together.”
