Placekicker Stephen Hauschka’s career in Seattle appears to be finished.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted Thursday that Hauschka will sign with the Bills, assuming there are “no snags in final negotiations.” The deal can’t become official until the official free-agent signing period begins at 1 p.m.

Hauschka’s departure was somewhat expected after the Seahawks signed former Vikings kicker Blair Walsh this offseason. Hauschka spent six seasons in Seattle and ranks second all-time in points scored in franchise history. His 87.2 percent field goal rate also ranks third-best all-time. But the 31-year-old struggled with his consistency at times last season, making 33 of his 37 field goals and going 29 for 35 on extra points. He has missed 10 extra points over the past two seasons.

The Bills reportedly cut veteran kicker Dan Carpenter to make room for Hauschka.
