The Mariners traded left-handed pitcher Wade LeBlanc to the Pirates Tuesday for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
LeBlanc, an eight-year veteran, was outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma on Sept. 2 after the Mariners designated him for assignment on Aug. 25. Seattle basically comes out with a wash with the deal, having acquired LeBlanc from Toronto on June 22 in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
The 32-year-old was 3-0 with a 4.50 ERA and one save with Seattle. He struck out 41 and walked nine in 11 games, including eight starts. LeBlanc posted five quality starts.
