Carroll: Seahawks ‘about as healthy as we can get’

The Seahawks listed only two players on Friday’s injury report as the team prepares to head to Washington, D.C. for Sunday’s wildcard game against the Redskins.

Running back Marshawn Lynch (back) and cornerback Jeremy Lane (knee) are both listed as probable. Lynch was a full participant during Friday’s walk-through; Lane limited with a sore knee from earlier in the week.

“We are about as healthy as we can get,” coach Pete Carroll said. “The two guys on the [injury] list are both probable and everybody else is going. We’ve got some issues to figure out who’s up and down, but other than that, we are very, very fortunate.

“You’re going to look at, I think, the same 11 on both sides who started the season.”

Carroll said that while cornerback Brandon Browner seems to be in great shape after serving a four-game suspension, he will be closely monitored on Sunday.

“He’s knocking off the rust and trying to get back,” Carroll said. “This late in the season the tempo of practice isn’t as high as it is earlier in the year, so he doesn’t get as much work. We’re going to bring him on slowly, we’ll be ready for him in case he gets tired. Everything looks fine, we are just going to watch him.”

To update some older injuries, Carroll said Leroy Hill has recovered from his hamstring injury and is “back to full speed.” Both Hill and Malcolm Smith are expected to split time at weakside linebacker.

Cornerback Marcus Trufant, also recently sidelined with a hamstring issue, will play at the nickel spot.

Offensive lineman J.R. Sweezy will start at right guard over John Moffitt, although both are expected to rotate.
