Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett is reportedly out of a Bay Area hospital, where he spent two nights with a potentially dangerous leg injury.

Lockett, who suffered a leg contusion in Monday’s game against the 49ers that was feared could turn into compartment syndrome, flew back Wednesday to Seattle on a private plane belonging to Seahawks owner Jody Allen, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was hopeful Monday that Lockett would be able to return in time for Seattle’s next game, which will be a 10 a.m. contest on Sunday, Nov. 24 at Philadelphia. Schefter’s report indicates that Seattle still believes that is possible.

“He just had a big bruise on his shin and the swelling issue is what was of concern,” Carroll said Monday on 710 ESPN Seattle’s Pete Carroll Show. “It should be OK. It shouldn’t be a big problem going forward, and it’s great we have the (bye) week. There’s concern when that happens that you can have complications and stuff like that.”

Seattle had to play overtime in its 27-24 win over San Francisco without Lockett, who suffered his injury in the fourth quarter.

Lockett caught three passes on four targets for a season-low 26 yards on Monday. He has three games of 100 yards or more this year, ranks fifth in the NFL with 793 receiving yards and is tied for third with six touchdown receptions.

The one-time Pro Bowler is a strong candidate to return to the Pro Bowl this season, which would be his first as a wide receiver instead of as a returner.

Seattle signed Lockett to a three-year extension prior to the 2018 season, keeping him under contract through 2021.
