Richard Sherman doesn’t believe in video game curses, but are we willing to risk it with the full Legion of Boom?

Football fans voted Sherman onto the cover of the 2015 Madden video game release, but the cornerback wants the other members of the LOB to join him.

“It’s a great honor for me and my teammates, the Legion of Boom. I’ve been trying to get the Legion of Boom on the cover and EA’s been fighting me. So, if everyone wants to start a petition to get the Legion of Boom on the cover, here’s an open invitation,” Sherman said Monday.

And someone took him up on it. A change.org petition has been filed to get other members of the Legion of Boom, including Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor and Byron Maxwell, on the cover.

Of course, some Seahawks fans are hesitant to put even more of the team’s players on the Madden video game. It’s an honor that’s allegedly been fraught with peril for some past recipients who have either had subpar seasons or suffered injuries the year they were on the cover.

The only other Seahawks player to make it to the cover was Shaun Alexander, who broke his foot following his appearance.

But for those who’d like to see the Legion of Boom honored in this way, you can sign the petition here.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
