The Mariners and T-Mobile have agreed to a 25-year naming rights partnership, the team announced Wednesday. The partnership is still subject to approval by the Washington State Major League Baseball Stadium Public Facilities District.

“T-Mobile has a deep commitment to this community, a passion for customer service and a well-earned reputation as a leader in innovation. These are the qualities that make T-Mobile the right partner to name this iconic ballpark,” said John Stanton, Seattle Mariners Chairman and Managing Partner.

T-Mobile’s naming right’s partnership brings a few other changes to the ballpark, formerly known as Safeco Field. Among them is the re-branding of the stadium’s popular fan holding area, which will now be called the T-Mobile ‘Pen.

Most of the changes are expected to be completed by opening day on March 28, 2019.
