The last two games for the Seahawks has seen their defense dominate Minnesota in a 21-7 victory that boosted the confidence of the fan base, then be upset by the 49ers (now 4-10) in a disappointing 26-23 overtime loss.

How can the Seahawks clinch the playoffs? Here are the scenarios

So when former pro quarterback Jake Heaps was asked Tuesday in a rapid fire segment on 710 ESPN Seattle’s Brock and Salk what his biggest question about the 8-6 Seahawks is right now, he looked at what those two games represent.

“The biggest question mark I have about the Seahawks is the consistency of this team,” Heaps said. “Where are they at, where can they go? After the Vikings game I was fully bought in to what this team could be. … After the loss to the 49ers, I still feel that they can do that. It’s just a matter of can they be consistent from the beginning to the fourth quarter.”

That was just one of a host of questions that Heaps, Mike Salk and a few select listeners who called in answered in the segment, which you can hear in the embedded audio player in this post or download at this link.

Here are a few more answers to another question asked during the segment.

Pete Carroll Post-Show: No excuses made for Hawks’ loss to 49ers

Which Seahawks player or coach is not getting enough credit?

Jake Heaps: “(Offensive line coach) Mike Solari should win Assistant Coach of the Year. I think he has been phenomenal and what he’s been able to bring to this team, you can’t put a price tag on it.”

Mike Salk: “I think (defensive coordinator) Ken Norton is a perfectly deserving person. Nobody has talked about Ken Norton and what he’s done with this defense that lost most of the Pro Bowlers that everybody was talking about, and I think that is pretty darn impressive.”

Dustin from California: “To me it’s gotta be (left tackle) Duane Brown. Ever since we got him from Houston last year, that offensive line has gone from basically the laughingstock of the NFL. … As soon as we got him, he’s brought leadership, he’s brought aggressiveness, toughness.”
