With only three days until the annual rivalry between the Cougars and Huskies, three Apple Cup veterans took their shots at the opposition and gave their take on who will come away with the pristine Apple Cup trophy this Saturday.
Former Husky DT Larry Tripplett reminisced about their 2001 Rose Bowl win over the Purdue Boilermakers, and explained what a win this weekend would mean for the future of the program under Steve Sarkisian’swatch.
Robbie Tobeck, former offensive lineman for WSU and the Seahawks, talked about Saturday’s Apple Cup and whether or not head coach Paul Wulff deserves to keep his job regardless of the outcome.
Seahawks safety, and former Husky, Lawyer Milloy talked about what the defense must improve upon this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, and looked forward to the Apple Cup in Pullman where, not surprisingly, he thinks the Huskies will win.
Ryan Looney, head coach for the Seattle Pacific men’s basketball team, previewed the rest of their upcoming schedule after beating Division 1 squads Eastern Washington and Nevada earlier this season.
