Fresh off his final show as a full-time host with 710 ESPN Seattle’s Bob, Groz and Tom, Dave “The Groz” Grosby was honored with the opportunity of a lifetime on Tuesday night.

Before the Mariners began their series against the Houston Astros, Groz threw out the first pitch at T-Mobile Park to Mariners infielder Donnie Walton.
Groz has been in the Seattle sports media as a talk show host since 1991, including the last nine years with 710 ESPN Seattle. He announced last month that he was stepping away from a full-time role on the air, though he will continue to have a daily segment at 11:45 a.m. with 710 ESPN Seattle’s John Clayton as well as be available to pinch-hit as a guest host. He will have an expanded role on 710Sports.com, as well.
Check out multiple videos of The Groz’s throw as well as pictures and his own reaction to the night below.
