For the first time in 2018, the Mariners will have their intended starting lineup at full strength.

First baseman Ryon Healy has been activated from the 10-day disabled list for a sprained ankle and is in the lineup for Thursday’s series opener in Cleveland at 3:10 p.m. on 710 ESPN Seattle.

Healy’s return was preceded by those of catcher Mike Zunino (oblique strain), left fielder Ben Gamel (oblique strain) and designated hitter Nelson Cruz (ankle sprain).

To make room on the active roster for Healy, fellow first baseman Daniel Vogelbach has been optioned to Triple-A Tacoma. Vogelbach, 25, posted a .204/.317/.352 slash line with his first two MLB career home runs in 19 games after making the opening day roster following a strong spring training.

Healy, 26, was an offseason trade acquisition by Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto from the Oakland A’s. He hit 2 for 22 (.091) with four RBIs in six games for Seattle but sprained his ankle during a postgame workout in Minnesota on April 7, the same day he hit a three-run double that broke open an 11-4 Seattle win. The University of Oregon product had 25 home runs, 78 RBIs and a .271/.302/.451 slash line for Oakland in 2017.

Coverage of the Mariners’ opener in Cleveland begins at 2 p.m. on 710 ESPN Seattle with the pregame show.
