Brock and Salk spent the week down in Peoria, Ariz., at Mariners spring training, a spot that was not at a loss for big news.

Brock Huard and Mike Salk were at the team’s complex for the signing of Ichiro Suzuki, and they also had a chance to catch up with some of the bigger names of the team for insightful interviews.

Tom Wassell: Enjoy Ichiro’s return to Mariners for what it is

If you any missed Brock and Salk’s week in Arizona, here are some links to catch you up.

• Mariners manager Scott Servais joined the show right after the team officially announced Ichiro’s return Wednesday. He spoke at length about Ichiro’s role with the M’s as well as what his return means for the organization. He also talked about how the team’s minimal turnover from last season could be a key at the start of the regular season.

• Outfielder Mitch Haniger sat down for an interview that aired Thursday, and he talked about being slowed down by a hand injury this spring among many other things.

• A particularly candid Robinson Cano was the guest for Friday’s show, and the All-Star second baseman had plenty to share about his former Yankees teammate Ichiro, what he sees out of shortstop Jean Segura and center fielder Dee Gordon, and his drive to get the Mariners back to the playoffs.

• Salk also shared his observations from watching the Mariners up close in Peoria, including thoughts on under-the-radar standouts who may be breakout players in 2018.
