Here’s a sneak peak at what the voices of 710 ESPN Seattle will be saying on the radio Monday about the Seahawks’ 41-38 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Bob Stelton of Bob, Groz and Tom

This game was exciting, tense, disappointing and exhilarating all at the same time. One of the craziest wins in recent memory for the Seahawks. The Seattle defense came into this game tied for the league lead in points allowed at 15.7. They gave up 21 in the first half alone. That tells you what kind of day it was for the Hawks defense: BAD! They were absolutely picked apart by Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins, who had over 200 receiving yards. To make matters worse, Earl Thomas injured his hamstring and had to leave the game. The Seahawks’ offense had a great passing day and a disastrous rushing day. The O-line did little to nothing in the way of run blocking. This is what this team is now offensively. They’re a pass-first team out of necessity, and I don’t see that changing much at all the rest of the season. The Seahawks have proven that they can win this way, as they did Sunday, but they’ll need a better showing from the defense to do it with any regularity.

Jim Moore of Danny, Dave and Moore

This is the kind of game that reminds me of two things: 1) As long as Russell Wilson has time on the clock, the Seahawks will always have a chance to win. 2) As long as Russell Wilson is the Seahawks’ quarterback, they will always be Super Bowl contenders. He has engineered so many fourth quarter comebacks, I’ve lost track. And on Sunday if you thought, “Well, this is one time he won’t bring them back” after throwing an interception with less than 3 minutes to go, Wilson proved otherwise. Plus I just thought this game was a great example of why the Seahawks will always be Super Bowl contenders. I guess I’m repeating myself, but it bears repeating – if Wilson can rescue the Seahawks the way he did Sunday, he can do it under any circumstances. Teammates can come and go in the next 10 years, but if he’s here, you can count on the Seahawks playing well into January, maybe even February. Think about it, he brought the Seahawks back without having a running game to help him out and a defense that allowed over 500 yards to the Texans. So much for the thought that Wilson needs a running game and solid defense to be an effective quarterback.

Dave Grosby of Bob, Groz and Tom

Well, I was one of those who thought the controversy over the Texans owner’s statements would be a distraction to the Texans. Wrong. It’s still hard to imagine that Deshaun Watson didn’t start the season as the starting quarterback; as I tweeted out during the game, he is already elite. An absolutely spectacular game at CenturyLink and Russell Wilson goes from wearing the goat horns to being the star. People may talk about the defense having a tough day but I don’t believe the Seahawks win it without Earl Thomas’s interception. This was a game a good team win, and to win after Russell Wilson threw that bizarre interception in the fourth quarter is what championship-caliber teams do. The Texans finally have a franchise quarterback and I believe the league is lucky that they have so many injuries on defense. Even though Houston is 3-5, expect to see the Texans in the postseason this year. A great, great football game. A lot more to say about it Bob, Groz and Tom Monday at noon.

Mike Salk of Brock and Salk

That was as good of a game as I can remember. Up and down, fast paced, heart beating, hands shaking, drama all over the field. Insane. People at Green Lake afterwards were smiling and just happy as can be. And the Seahawks won because they had Russell Wilson. That’s it. End of story. Russell is a wizard. A magician. The man. An elite, franchise quarterback. Very simple. When you have those guys, you win games like this. They get the vibe that it is going to be that kind of a day and they wise to it. Russell just understood what his team needed him to do.
