The Mariners will have Boog Powell in left field, Guillermo Heredia in center field and Jarrod Dyson getting the day off in Wednesday’s series final against the Oakland Athletics at 7:10 on 710 ESPN Seattle.
Seattle also has a new arm in the mix – Casey Lawrence, who the team claimed off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays last week. Lawrence, 29, was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma after making one relief appearance for the Rainiers. In four MLB games with Toronto this year, Lawrence went 0-3 with an 8.78 ERA. Chase De Jong, who started Tuesday for Seattle, was optioned back to Triple-A to make room for Lawrence on the active roster. The 23-year-old De Jong is 0-3 with a 7.40 ERA in six games (four starts) this season with the M’s.

Mariners manager Scott Servais opted to give Dyson a break the day after the speedy outfielder was plunked by pitches on three separate occassions.
Christian Bergman will take the hill for the M’s against Jesse Hahn of the A’s.
Coverage begins at 6 with the pregame show on 710 ESPN Seattle.
