On the same day that the City of Seattle held an open house at Seattle Center for the public to take a look at competing proposals to renovate KeyArena, the group pushing for a new arena in the Sodo district made sure to keep its own proposal in the conversation.
The Sodo group released a comparison on its website SonicsArena.com on Thursday, detailing the reasons why it believes its proposal makes the most sense for the region in its attempt to be granted NBA and NHL franchises. You can view the SoDo group’s comparison here.
The KeyArena proposals were on display at the home of KEXP, which is located next door to the arena on the Seattle Center grounds. The two groups competing to upgrade the arena are AEG and the Oak View Group. You can hear an interview with AEG president Bob Newman in this post, while this post covers an interview with the Oak View Group’s Tim Leiweke.
