The Mariners made a quick roster move Thursday ahead of their series final in Houston, activating left-handed pitcher Dillon Overton from the paternity list and optioning Chase De Jong to Triple-A Tacoma.
Overton made the team out of spring training but left before the Astros series to be with his family for the birth of his first son Tuesday. De Jong, meanwhile, made his MLB debut Wednesday night, taking the loss after allowing three runs in 2/3 of an inning.

As for Thursday’s lineup, manager Scott Servais will run out a very similar batting order to the one the Mariners employed Wednesday. The only change is Carlos Ruiz will catch and hit seventh in his team debut, giving Mike Zunino the day off.
Left-hander Ariel Miranda will start on the mound for Seattle, while Houston will counter with righty Joe Musgrove.
