Despite losing Earl Thomas to a major injury, Thomas Rawls and the Seahawks dominated the Carolina Panthers 40-7 on Sunday night. Here’s what Panthers players had to say after the game to the media:

QB Cam Newton on what went wrong Sunday and all season: “I don’t know. We’ve just got to get guys back healthy. I think that’s been a big issue. For the people who have been playing, effort has been there but as far as trust in each other, I think that’s something we all can get better at, including myself.”

QB Derek Anderson on throwing an interception on the first play: “I just threw it to him and … you saw it just as good as I did.”

TE Greg Olsen: “These are humbling experiences. Right now the reality is … we just aren’t very good right now, that’s just the reality. That’s all anyone should care about.”

WR Ted Ginn Jr.: “The score speaks for itself. We couldn’t get it rolling like we usually do. We got to seven and after that we just struggled. We got to just put all three phases together and play better ball.”

Head coach Ron Rivera on getting beat that badly: “It’s disappointing. We had some opportunities early on. We pull within three and give up a big play right away. For whatever reason there was a miscommunication and we didn’t get the guy in position and we gave up the big play.”

Safety Tre Boston on giving up so many yards: “Got to tackle better. Got to communicate. Got to find a way to get more turnovers. Got to find a way to get more turnovers on their side of the field. Set our offense up for easy scores. That’s it, honestly.”
