Rick Adair On the Air

Mariner’s pitching coach Rick Adair joined us on the air today to talk about the success of his staff. Adair gave us an interesting perspective as the man behind all the wins of the third best pitching team in baseball.
Adair was particularly pleased with starter Jarrod Washburn’s veteran role saying, “He’s the most enjoyable veteran pitcher, you know a guy that has done what he has done, that I’ve ever been around on a daily basis.”
He also talked about the disadvantage that Erik Bedard has as being a respected pitcher in baseball, saying “The one thing he has going against him, everybody knows how good his stuff is…Everbody bears down on this guy every at bat.”
