To Go or Not To Go? I’m Goin’ Baby!

Sports fans, you may have faced this question before – there’s a potentially historic sports moment that you could attend…but at a major blow to the wallet, not to mention, time and travel.
I too was faced with this dilemma. My beloved Butler Bulldogs (also my Alma Mater) are in the Final Four. I’m in Los Angeles on Sunday for the NBA on ESPN Radio – so do I jump on a plane to Indy if Butler makes the Championship?
I didn’t get to watch the game this weekend, due to a hiking excursion with the family – and they won. Would I jinx them if I did watch at this point?
Several listeners weighed in today, most telling me I should man up and head on out immediately, thus maintaining my status of alum.
I think I’ve been convinced. Here’s the proof, I said it today: “If the Butler Bulldogs beat Michigan State on Saturday, I will be in Indianapolis on Monday – not watching at my parents house, mind you…not at the old frat house – I will be at Lucas Oil Stadium.”
Earlier in the show, there was no way I was making that trip. Now, I’m sold – I’m in by necessity, because you, the fan, convinced me. So let’s go Bulldogs!
