If Mike Zunino makes his 2016 Mariners debut on Friday night, it will be off the bench.
The Mariners have regular catcher Chris Iannetta starting against Baltimore for the second straight game since calling up Zunino from Triple-A Tacoma.
On the mound will be crafty lefty Wade LeBlanc making his second start for Seattle. He threw six shutout innings a week ago in his Mariners debut. Right-hander Kevin Gausman will throw for Baltimore.
The second game of the Mariners’ four-game series with the Orioles begins at 7:10 on 710 ESPN Seattle, with the pregame show starting at 6.
