Despite less than robust crowds at Safeco Field last season, ticket prices for Mariners games are going up for the 2013 season.

Just about every section of the ballpark and season ticket plans will see increases next season anywhere from 4 to 10 percent.

Mariners vice president Randy Adamack says the team is trying to keep the games affordable for the fans, run the ballclub and maintain itself as a business.

While the Mariners finished last place in their division for the third consecutive year, manager Eric Wedge believes his young team will be a pennant contender. A message from Wedge was included in the team’s email to ticket holders.
