The Seahawks are working on a contract extension with head coach Pete Carroll, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
The 2016 season is currently his last under contract with Seattle.
Pete Carroll is entering the final year of his contract in 2016, and the #Seahawks are working with him on an extension, I'm told.

Carroll joined the Seahawks in 2010 on a five-year, $35 million deal. He agreed to a new three-year contract in 2014 that extended him through 2016.

Rapoport tweeted that Carroll’s current contract makes him one of the three highest-paid coaches in the league.
In six years with the Seahawks, Carroll has a 60-36 record, has led them to the playoffs five times, won three NFC West Division titles, two NFC titles and a Super Bowl championship. He turned 64 last September.
Before coming to Seattle, Carroll coached the University of Southern California to a 97-19 record over nine seasons, including a pair of national championships. He also had stints in the NFL as the head coach of the New York Jets (1994) and New England Patriots (1997-99).
