Friday’s Fearless Picks

A perfect week last week, which isn’t that tough when you are only picking three games but still…..
UW vs. Stanford: I didn’t think the Huskies would win last week, but I didn’t expect them to get air-mailed either. Arizona is tough this year, though not as tough nor as physical as Stanford (man that’s a weird thing to say isn’t it? Stanford, tough?). This looks like a terrible matchup for the Huskies, and I expect to hear lots of boos at Husky Stadium as the Cardinals are marching up and down the field.
I don’t like it but…
Stanford 42 Huskies 21
WSU vs Arizona State:
This is truly a fearless pick.
ASU is home for the first time in over a month and its homecoming (of course) is against the Cougs, but beware convicts. ASU has a very good offense but they’ve fallen to 3-4 on the year. Whispers about Dennis Erickson’s job security have gotten louder and louder. While ASU is the more talented team playing at home, they aren’t improving as the year goes on. They have to feel humiliated after the 50-17 drubbing handed to them by Cal last week. The fact the game isn’t on TV up here clinches it for me. I expect to be shooting the words of Jim Lampley after George Foreman KO’d Michael Moorer…”It happened!!!!!”
WSU 30 ASU 27
Oakland vs. Seattle: A three game winning streak for the Hawks? It has been WAY too long. After scoring the most points in a game in franchise history, a 59-14 destruction of the Broncos, the Raiders suddenly seem formidable. Al Davis, Tom Cable and the boys may think the Raiders are back, but Jason Campbell is not the second coming of Jim Plunkett. The Seahawks run defense should squash the Raiders strength. This is another coming out party for Marshawn Lynch, I’m saying he runs for at least 150 yards.
Trick or Treat Raiders…you’re going down!
Last week 3-0. For the season 16-5
