Edgar Martinez’s No. 11 now hangs past the center-field wall along with Ken Griffey Jr.’s No. 24 and Jackie Robinson’s No. 42 at Safeco Field.
Before the Mariners retired the number of one of the greatest right-handed hitters in the history of baseball, they took a look back at his career with this video package, narrated by Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr., which is embedded above.
