SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
Wyman’s Chalk Talk: Leverage, spill and how the Seahawks lost contain on a 13-yard Patriots touchdown run
Nov 17, 2016, 10:33 AM
The Seahawks allowed three rushing touchdowns to LeGarrette Blount in their win over New England Sunday night but mostly kept the Patriots running back bottled up away from the goal line, holding him to 69 yards on 21 carries. One exception was a 13-yard run that resulted in his third score.
Dave Wyman breaks that play down in the video above. He explains the concepts of leverage and spill as they pertain to setting the edge, which Seattle’s defense failed to do on Blount’s touchdown run.
You can watch the play at the 1:39 mark of this video link.
Brock Huard broke down another play from this game: Russell Wilson’s third touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin.
