Huard’s Chalk Talk: Russell Wilson to Doug Baldwin for Seahawks’ final touchdown vs Patriots

NBC’s broadcast showed a stat Sunday night that put into perspective how prolific the connection between Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin has been. From the start of the 2015 season through Week 9 of this season, Wilson had completed 75 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns, two interceptions and an NFL-best 133.4 rating when throwing to Baldwin.
And that didn’t take into account Sunday night’s game, when the two connected six times (on eight targets) for 59 yards and three touchdowns in the Seahawks’ 31-24 win over New England.
The last of those three touchdowns, a 15-yard hookup on third-and-3 in the fourth quarter, is the subject of this week’s Chalk Talk video. Brock Huard notes that it only took Wilson about 1.7 seconds to deliver the ball to Baldwin and explains that quite a bit happened in such a short time.
