THE LEAD: Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times joined the show to talk about some big Mariner news as the L.A. Dodgers have inquired about Cliff Lee’s availability. Here’s what he had to say:

“The Dodgers certainly have expressed to the Mariners their interest in Cliff Lee…they wouldn’t be alone–there are lots of teams that would love to have Cliff Lee in their rotation. At this point, the Mariners are telling teams, ‘ We’re not ready to move him .’ The AL West is not a very good division…and there’s nothing stopping them from getting on a run and getting back in the race. A few weeks from now, that might change.”

On the lighter side of things : Seahawks WR and budding vocalist Golden Tate gives us a preview of a new karaoke video he is making of his favorite artist: Taylor Swift’s “Our Song.” Listen to the the audio here:

And in case you missed it, here’s Tate’s rendition of Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” that swept the internet earlier this week:

In Other News: ESPN NFL Analyst John Clayton explained more about NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s decision to allow Ben Roethlisberger to rejoin football activities with the Pittsburg Steelers:
