The Mariners have activated LHP Wade Miley for Wednesday night’s start against the Pirates and placed RHR Nick Vincent on the 15-day disabled list with a mid-back strain. The move is retroactive to June 27.
Miley was placed on the DL with a left shoulder impingement on June 17. After a brief shutdown, he resumed his throwing program and made a rehab start June 24 for the Everett AquaSox. In that appearance he threw four perfect innings.

Vincent has struggled of late, giving up eight earned runs off nine hits, four of which were home runs, over his last nine outings. Prior to that stretch he had surrendered just seven earned runs in 28 games.
Miley returns to a very different looking Mariners rotation with Nathan Karns now in the bullpen and Wade LeBlanc taking his spot. The pitching probables for the remainder of the homestand are as follows:
• Wednesday: Miley
• Thursday: Taijuan Walker
• Friday: LeBlanc
• Saturday: James Paxton
• Sunday: Hisashi Iwakuma
