Eric D. Williams of The (Tacoma) News Tribune wrote earlier this week that Seahawks receiver Terrell Owens “has a lot to overcome” and that he “still appears to be the same T.O. who complains when things are not going his way.”
Those seemingly innocuous comments made national headlines.
Williams joined “Bob and Groz” on Friday to discuss his comments on Owens, saying he’s noticed the receiver display the demonstrative behavior that has led to issues in the past.
“To me, that just indicated that T.O. really hadn’t changed, he was the same guy,” Williams said. “And if he is that same guy, do you want that type of personality to be your fifth or sixth receiver? And he’s not going to be a person that contributes on special teams. How do you handle that personality if he’s not one of your top two or three guys?”
In the video below, Bob Stelton and Dave Grosby discuss the importance of Friday night’s preseason game for Owens.
