Timing of Schneider’s contract extension is significant

John Schneider’s new contract with the Seahawks isn’t all that new.
As first reported last week by Mike Sando of ESPN.com, Seattle actually extended its general manager’s deal last year, signing him through the 2016 season.
Danny O’Neil explains in the video below what the timing of that move said about the confidence the Seahawks have in Schneider.
