The Pac-12 released its new schedules for the 2020 football season Friday, reflecting the change to conference-only slates for the UW Huskies, WSU Cougars and the rest of the league.
UW Huskies’ initial 2020 season opener against Michigan scrapped
The Huskies will now begin under first-year head coach Jimmy Lake on the week of Sept. 26 with a home game against the Stanford Cardinal at Husky Stadium. For the Cougars, their first game with Nick Rolovich as head coach will be the same week when they host the Utah Utes.
Both UW and WSU will have two Friday games – Oct. 30 at Stanford for Washington State, Nov. 13 at Utah for Washington, and the usual Apple Cup meeting against each other on the Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 27), which is taking place at Martin Stadium in Pullman this year. Washington won 31-13 in the 2019 Apple Cup, the last to feature previous head coaches Chris Petersen (UW) and Mike Leach (WSU).
