The Mariners are not commenting on a report that general manager Jack Zduriencik has received a one-year contract extension.

Citing a club policy, a Mariners spokesperson told 710 ESPN Seattle on Tuesday that the team will not discuss Zduriencik’s contract status, this coming hours after Ryan Divish of The News Tribune reported that Zduriencik has received an extension.

Zduriencik is in his fifth season as the Mariners’ general manager. His contract, extended by two years in August of 2011, was set to expire after this season.
