RENTON — Justin Coleman arrived in Seattle on Sunday with one big suitcase, plans to buy some clothes and stock up on team paraphernalia.

One week later, he was on the field for 41 plays, exactly one-half of the Seahawks’ defensive snaps in Green Bay, as the ejection of Jeremy Lane forced Coleman into the defensive game plan as the fifth defensive back in Seattle’s nickel package.

“I’m not going to lie,” Coleman said, “it was tough, but I felt like the coaches and also the players did a really good job of keeping me informed and keeping me on top of things.”

Coleman was featured on the Seahawks Spotlight on “Danny, Dave and Moore.”

Playing might be the most straightforward part of Coleman’s transition, though. He was traded from New England to Seattle one week before the start of the regular season, which creates a logistical challenge. How does a player go about getting all his stuff moved across the country after a trade.

“I’m still trying to find that out myself,” Coleman said. “I’m asking questions over and over and over. Like, ‘Hey, who’s going to help me get my stuff from across the world?’ ”

Wait. So all of Coleman’s stuff is still back in Boston?

“Yeah, it’s still there,” Coleman said.

Well, you better find a way to get it back here because it seems Coleman is here for the long haul.
