Mitch Haniger will continue to nurse a finger injury suffered on Saturday, so the Mariners will have Guillermo Heredia in the outfield for their opener in Houston at 5:10 on 710 ESPN Seattle.
Heredia will play left field with Ben Gamel in Haniger’s usual right field spot. Jarrod Dyson will roam center field as the 46-47 Mariners aim to get back to .500 against the American League West-leading Astros.
Drayer: Bullpen help is coming, but do the Mariners need it?
