“Bob and Groz” concluded their weekly chat with Mike Sando of ESPN.com with a question about Braylon Edwards and whether the veteran receiver has done enough to ensure a spot on the Seahawks’ final roster.
Sando believes he has.
“I think he’s really not only made a play or two per game in the preseason, but I think he’s just kind of embraced this opportunity,” Sando said.
Edwards, a former No. 3 overall pick and one-time Pro Bowl selection, is fighting for a job with the Seahawks after the worst season of his professional career. He had just 15 catches for the 49ers while dealing with a knee injury that ended his season after nine games and required surgery.
Edwards insists he’s healthy, and the big-play ability he’s shown in practice and in the preseason suggests he is. Edwards has three catches for 83 yards and a touchdown in three games.
In the video below, Bob Stelton and Dave Grosby discuss whether they think Edwards is a lock to make the Seahawks’ final roster.
