It was a hazy 80-degree Thursday afternoon for the Seahawks’ practice along the shores of Lake Washington. Smoke from the Eastern Washington fires made it tough to see players at the far end of the fields.

Running back Marshawn Lynch was a full participant. He was limited in Wednesday’s session with his recurring back issues.

Golden Tate’s sprained knee is improving and the receiver was once again full-go in practice.

Left tackle Russell Okung was limited in practice as he tries to shake off a bruised knee bone. Frank Omiyale contines to prepare to start if Okung isn’t fully healthy.

For the second straight day, receiver Sidney Rice did not practice due to a sore right knee. Tight end Zach Miller did not participate in practice because of a foot injury.

Another day and another practice-squad move. The Seahawks dropped rookie linebacker Korey Toomer, their fifth-round pick, and guard Rishaw Johnson. They brought back linebacker Allen Bradford and added offensive lineman Mike Person from Montana State.

Defensive coordinator Gus Bradley told us following practice the Seahawks have great respect for Dallas running back DeMarco Murray, who stung Seattle’s defense last year.

“They create some leverage issues for us and force to get those things corrected,” he said.

Bradley is also concerned about quarterback Tony Romo’s ability to keep pass plays alive with his footwork.

“We saw a play against Pittsburgh where he got hit, spun around, and threw the ball with his left hand,” Bradley said. “Our guys have to keep him in the pocket, don’t let him get out and make plays on the run.”
