Seahawks guard James Carpenter participated in practice on Wednesday on a limited basis.

Carpenter cleared the mandated concussion protocol testing in order to return to the field. Carpenter was inactive the last two games and was unable to practice last Monday following the bye. Head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday he was uncertain whether Carpenter would start Sunday in Miami.

“We’ll see,” Carroll said. “We’ll see how the week goes and what happens. I just want to take it one day at a time and see how that goes.”

Carroll did say that John Moffitt, who has started at left guard in Carpenter’s absence, is ready to go if needed.

Carpenter was the only player who was limited on Wednesday.

Running back Marshawn Lynch continues to be listed with a back injury but was a full participant. Defensive end Gregg Scrggs, cornerback Byron Maxwell, defensive tackle Clinton McDonald and linebacker K.J. Wright were also full participants on Wednesday.

This marks the fewest injuries the Seahawks have reported since the start of the season. The week prior to the bye, the Seahawks had 13 players listed on the injury report.

Wednesday’s practice report

OUT: none listed
DID NOT PARTICIPATE: none listed
LIMITED: G James Carpenter (concussion)
FULL PRACTICE: RB Marshawn Lynch (back), DE Gregg Scrggs (oblique), CB Byron Maxwell (hamstring), DT Clinton McDonald (groin), LB KJ Wright (concussion)
