The Seahawks will release the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans later Friday, but head coach Pete Carroll shed some light on what kind of shape the offensive line is in on “The Pete Carroll Show” this morning.

“We’ve got some guys that are gonna have a hard time making it in this week. Particularly we haven’t been able to get Breno Giacomini or Max Unger back full-go on the practice field, so we’re gonna have some guys step up,” Carroll said.

Lemuel Jeanpierre is expected to step in for All-Pro center Unger (arm) at Houston, while rookie Michael Bowie will likely take the right tackle spot usually manned by Giacomini (knee). The Seahawks are already playing without left tackle Russell Okung (toe), who is on the injured reserve-designated to return list.

“We’ll see how Lem does at center, and we’re kinda fired up to see what Michael Bowie does if he gets a chance to play at tackle. He’s been coming on strong,” Carroll said. “We’ll always be about the guys that step in rather than the guys who can’t go.”

Carroll also addressed what he expects from a talented Texans squad, and gave his thoughts on an anti-Seahawks chant led by 49ers fans after their win Thursday over the Rams. You can listen to the full show here.
