With a triceps injury threatening to sideline All-Pro center Max Unger for a second straight week, coach Pete Carroll says the Seahawks are prepared to again start backup Lemuel Jeanpierre Sunday against Indianapolis.

“Max is going to try to do some stuff here at the very end of the week and see where he is,” Carroll told “The Morning News” on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM Friday morning, “but right now I’m planning on going with Lem and our guys that we played last week, and if we get a little bit of help then we’ll surely utilize it. But it’s not going to change a lot.”

Unger missed last week’s game at Houston and was limited in practice the last two days. His outlook for Sunday’s game will be more clear once Seattle releases its injury report Friday afternoon.

Rookie right tackle Michael Bowie will make his second NFL start with Breno Giacomini recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery. Paul McQuistan will again start in place of injured left tackle Russell Okung, so should Unger not be available Seattle would be down three starters on its offensive line for the second week in a row.
