Seahawks’ Earl Thomas says he’s sitting out Pro Bowl

...

Seahawks free safety Earl Thomas is sitting out this year’s Pro Bowl.

Thomas earned the fifth selection of his six-year career after this past season but announced in a Facebook post this week that he won’t play, indicating that his decision is about getting his body “fully healthy.”

Thomas missed most of last offseason and didn’t play in the preseason as he recovered from shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum, which he sustained in the NFC title game. Thomas has never missed a start in his career.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the players, coaches, and most importantly, all of the fans who voted me…
