Mike Holmgren would always have ten to fifteen minutes after a game to cool down before he addressed the media. I am going to need more than 10 to 15 minutes to come down from tonight’s 9th inning. Not with a blown save, not with dozens of Seahawks missing practice, not with rain in mid-August, I have had enough and need to sleep off this day.

I will say this, Sean Locklear and Darryl Tapp could have very different roles in 2009. Locklear may be at RT, he may be at RG, and if Walter Jones is not healthy he will be at LT. Tapp, you may see him in a variety of roles on 3rd down and in a perfect world for this new staff it would be Kerney and Redding on early downs and run down situations, and Tapp involved in passing situations.

Lastly, I do think Mora and the training staff are being very cautious with this team, this year. That is why a dozen guys did not practice this morning, why some Vets are not partaking in any two-a-days, why any degree of discomfort is being treated with kid gloves. There is a rationale and logic and plan, I get that, but with preseason games now looming and cutting into practice time with travel days and off-days and even more contact and recovery, I sure hope this team on both sides of the ball can get on the same page.

Good night.
