felix-hernandezAs Mariners Spring Training officially kicked off today, Salk was enjoyed the sun and the company while broadcasting from Peoria (and maybe a little In-N-Out Burger… Jerk.). He and Shannon Drayer spoke to Ace and newly extended Felix Hernandez who spoke with serious enthusiasm about bringing the team to the playoffs and taking the mound in the post-season! Felix doesn’t speak with the media at great length all the time so it was also nice to hear his personality really come alive while talking to Mike and Shannon. Check out the full interview below…

Felix Hernandez

Also joining the show was Closer David Aardsma talking about what last year’s success meant to him, how he achieved it and how he plans to repeat it this season. You can hear the full interview below as well.

And since we were sick of talking to pitchers all the time, we figured we might try and talk to one of the most intriguing prospects this spring, Cather – Adam Moore. He’s a favorite of the organization and will be battling it out with “Robo” Rob Johnson and Josh Bard for a big chunk of the catching duties, so we asked him how he’s approaching it and what he wants to accomplish. You actually can’t hear that interview below. Ok, fine…

Adam Moore

Be sure to tune in all next week as Brock and Salk broadcasts live from Peoria, Arizona with Players, Coaches and Insiders from Mariners Spring Training! See ya Monday!
