The Pete Carroll era for the Seahawks has featured a lot of calculated risks, and perhaps the most risky of their moves was the trade for play-making wide receiver Percy Harvin from the Minnesota Vikings earlier this offseason.

Harvin gives the Seahawks something they desperately wanted to round out their offense — a speedy deep threat who also has the versatility to explode out of the backfield — but the cost of three draft picks (including a first-rounder) could backfire on Seattle if he doesn’t work out.

Danny O’Neil of “Brock and Danny” explains the risk behind the Harvin acquisition, and why it’s different from others they’ve taken.
