Video: Austin Jackson hits grand slam in Mariners’ win over Detroit

Some notes courtesy of the Mariners on Austin Jackson’s grand slam from Tuesday night’s 7-6 win over Detroit, which you can watch in the embedded video above:

• It was the first grand slam of Jackson’s career and the third this season for the Mariners (Kyle Seager hit the other two).

• Jackson tied a career high with four RBIs.

• When Franklin Gutierrez homered one batter later, it marked the fourth time this season the Mariners have hit back-to-back homers.

• Robinson Cano also homered, giving the Mariners their eighth game with at least three home runs this season. They didn’t do that until Sept. 5 last season.
