Seattle’s ongoing arena saga, the one key hurdle keeping the NBA and NHL from bringing teams to the city, has taken a few twists and turns in recent weeks. First was Chris Hansen’s updated proposal for a brand new building in SoDo, which would require no public funding. Then there’s the idea that a renovation Key Arena, which was the last home of the Sonics before they were moved to Oklahoma City, could still somehow be viable.
Seattle mayor Ed Murray told “Brock and Salk” earlier this week that it’s his responsibility consider everything, especially since he “would love to be the mayor that brings the Sonics back and brings hockey to this city.”
Mike Salk took Murray’s stance to heart, and in the video above, he explains why.
