Seahawks will have big decision to make with Clemons

There could be any number of reasons for Chris Clemons‘ absence from the Seahawks’ voluntary practices.

There’s a decent chance it has at least something to with his contract. More specifically, the fact that Clemons — one of the Seahawks’ most productive players the last two seasons — isn’t signed beyond 2012.

Clemons, 30, is scheduled to make $4.6 million in the final year of the contract the Seahawks inherited when they acquired the defensive end in a trade with the Eagles two years ago. Since then, Clemons has turned in a pair of 11-sack seasons while playing the “Leo” position, one that is unique to Seattle’s defense.

In Friday’s Wrap Up video, Brock Huard and Mike Salk discuss the decision the Seahawks will have to make with Clemons.
